Blissful ignorance

Sort of been neglecting this blog. I have a few reasons, most of them related to how I do not put blogs very high on my to-do-list however. As such I have been considerably busy with school and life, it happens and I’m only human.

Regardless I post today, rather tonight simply to tell you how sometimes when I go to sleep I end up being kept awake by this useless piece of tissue more commonly known as a “brain”. So I pretty much think about all sorts of things, except today I ended up simply being inspired to write, draw and paint. A truly fantastic time to feel inspired when it’s 2am on a weekday, huzzah!
So I am awake when I shouldn’t be, feeling inspired. Might as well do something with it then while it lasts though. So what I did was get out of bed and start typing, ending up with a poem I would believe. It’s a piece of my mind anyway, so enjoy!

Patience, dedication, strength
A clear mind, an iron will
A single goal grants a destination

Purpose, dreams, spirit
The cause, the drive
The chains that assemble

Intent, wit, virtue
One motive, one desire
One belief to mend and heal

Patience, purpose, intent
A gift, a blessing
A bestowement to protect

Dedication, dreams, wit
The reason, the fuel
The relief to protect

Strength, spirit, virtue
One talent, one key
One ability to protect

Strength of mind
Dreams to follow
Will to strive

All keys that are needed
To unlock what you seek
Behind thick doors made of dust

The greatest blessing of them all
The dream to gain strength, the will to discover
Every single piece of truth

Unobtainable freedom of mind and soul
Chained to the ground by foolish dreams
Protected by blissful ignorance

Now, I shall hopefully gain some sleep.

Airsoft, ticks and achievements

The previous weekend I tried something I actually haven’t bothered with before, but I’ve wanted to for a while. I played me some Airsoft together with a few friends and others.

So basically, yes I did run around in the woods with guns. No real guns though, simply replicas firing plastic bullets (mind you, it still hurts like a bitch.)

The funny thing is, I was pulled up from bed and supposed to get ready to go an hour before we would start playing. It was partially my fault for staying up rather late the day before but nonetheless I was tired and didn’t think straight at all.
So I end up showing up in blue jeans, a white shirt and a green T-shirt under it. Far from the best clothes I could have, probably close to the worst actually!

Either way it was loads of fun, surprisingly even though I was visible from space I managed quite well and only got completely eliminated in the first round. But apart from the experience and sudden urge to buy myself my own airsoft gear to play again, I got a few other things too! Mainly a couple of ticks and deer fly bites but I did grab myself a cold too. I’ll blame it all on my absolutely brilliant choice of clothes.

Have a nice day

Karma

Let me tell you a story, it spans over yesterday and today.

Yesterday I managed to oversleep (like a boss) missing half of my classes, I called in sick since that’s just downright awkward and I could just as well use the time to do stuff like write an essay for a class. Cool story, I know.

Today I didn’t oversleep, I went to school and was going to do my usual thing with going to classes and whatever you do in that large concrete building where people get educated (or so I heard.) However, I ended up calling myself in as sick due to actually ending up sick, with nausea and headache. I expect it to get worse really, which is funny.

Whatever though, I’ll simply have to check back with my teachers about what they did and hope that I won’t have to lie in bed tomorrow.

Cereal truly is the breakfast of kings, no arguments needed.

In other news it’s Wednesday. (Yes, really.)  So the only reasonable way to start of this post is obviously to point out how my last post was made on a Wednesday also.

So as we all acknowledge this great and completely irrelevant fact I will proceed to talk about random things. Like my progress in Eden Eternal!

My previous post about the game can be found here: Link

So where were we? OH yes, that one game…

Since the last time I was talking about it my character was lvl 31/28 (character/class) and in the lvl27-34 area. Since then I not only got to the next area, but even the one after that while being super cool and levelling up my Bard class to 32.

Pro Halios Pro mage Pro in Avila Volcano (lvl 37-42)

So since the last time I got past the Wetlands (lvl27-32) into the next area which is the Valley of Kings and then to the place shown on the picture, Avila Volcano. (lvl37-42)

Not that great of an area really, I sort of hate it. Everything is red, plain and red. The mobs are dragons, turtles, sabretooth tigers and ‘zealots’ (random humanoids) that all get mixed together to form some sort of mind bogglingly boring area that is red. Woohoo! Of course I actually have to stay here for a while too, but I’m going ot try and make it as quick as possible so I can move on.

Since the last time I have managed to build up a real view of this game however. Obviously I like it since I still play, but other than that I have to say that it’s actually really nice.

I used to play WoW, doing instances and stuff. Comparing this game to WoW is like comparing apples and oranges, just that everyone knows oranges are sweeter. The two games do differ a lot, in both good and bad ways.

Eden Eternal is for one way harder than WoW is when it comes to dungeons and such, everything is harder actually. You need to be able to kite to do solo-PvE and if you don’t want to sit down 90% of the time (sitting down refreshes HP and MP, much like you would drink and eat in WoW) you also need to use a good combo and time your skills. True this only applies to the classes I’ve played, which are Mage and Bard but still. When it comes to healing I’ll put it simple, in WoW being the healer is chill without much stress unless your tank is fail or fucks up. In Eden Eternal you need to have an eye open for everything all the time, you need to be quick and check ranges, buff durations and know your cast times and if you or your tank fucks up you die.

PvP in Eden Eternal has potential, but at the moment I can’t say much about it. I’ll leave it until later.

That’s all for now, have fun!

Back in school

Hi.

As the title implies I am back in school, although not there at the time I was writing this.

What can I say about it though? Not much, it’s nice to actually have a schedule for some reason. It’s nice knowing what I’m going to do, not having to come up with something every day. I know people who dislike it, I know others who like it and then some who don’t care. I’m part of those who don’t really care, while I do like being on a schedule I certainly haven’t given it much thought.

As far as my schedule goes I have to say that I expected it to look a whole lot worse than it actually does. I’m genuinely surprised and happy with it, it offers all the things I believe I need. I’m mainly thinking about gaps where I can use the time to do some work if need be. Besides that I have the (“optional”) courses I actually wanted, apart from History which I need to be able to graduate come next year.

Out of all the possible ‘bad’ things though one thing in particular gets to me, the fact that I have 4 assignments already. It took 2 days, and woops!

It’s nothing major though, mainly just some writing and/or reading.

So I’m back in school, have assignments I should do already and really like my schedule so far.

Change of host

Changing the host for the blog from webs.com to wordpress.com for a few reasons. Mainly because I couldn’t embed videos properly on webs.com and that’s pretty much all you need to know.

Honestly, wordpress seems so much better anyway. I’ll see how it plays out in the long run.

That’s all, I’ll write an actual post sooner or later.
